TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Piano Lessons in CHicago

Jesus Garcia’s piano instruction is characterized for developing and expanding the boundaries of his student’s abilities, because he strongly believes that everybody can push their skills further in order to attain levels of performance that the student may not have imagined before. His students are always active as performers, constantly participating in festivals, auditions, competitions, small and big recitals and in any opportunity where his students can showcase their talent.

Mr. Garcia has been teaching piano in the Chicago area and the suburbs for four years, and not only prepares his students regarding technique, musicality, the search for beautiful sound, memory, resistance, and control for a successful performance, but also works with the attitude of his students in order to feel a high self confidence before, during, and after the performance. Thanks to this preparation, his students have been accepted in major precollege music schools like ChiArts.

Teaching how to play piano is one part of my career that I like the most, but I like even more seeing my students succeeding in their performances. I really feel proud of them when they perform”, he says.

He also believes that there is no age limit to start learning to play piano.” At any age we can start working our skills, control, and concentration to play and explore the beautiful sound of this wonderful instrument and to explore ourselves as an artist and as piano performer”.
